Summer Music Series: Julie Davis as Bluebook
Julie Davis as Bluebook (solo) delivers haunting, loop-based solo performances that blur the lines between experimental pop and chamber folk. With her percussive upright bass, ethereal vocals, and boundary-pushing arrangements, she builds entire sonic worlds from the ground up — live, in real time, and completely alone on stage. The Denver Post calls her sound “years ahead of the indie-rock curve,” NPR praises her “beautifully structured dynamics and sonic twists,” and 303 Magazine describes her work as “haunting, ethereal, and dynamic.”
