Red Rocks Geology Hike
Enjoy a scenic 1.5-mile guided hike through Red Rocks Park, featuring its iconic red sandstone formations and breathtaking views. Your knowledgable guide will share geologic points of interest along the way. The approximately 70-minute hike includes 12 engaging stops along the trail, where knowledgeable guides share fascinating stories, history, and fun facts about Red Rocks and Colorado. The route includes a 300-foot elevation gain and is rated gentle to moderate; we adjust the pace to accommodate all fitness levels while following the same established trail. The hike includes a light breakfast or snack afterward, along with time to explore the famous Red Rocks Amphitheater at your own pace.

Do NOT go to the amphitheater. Type in Red Rocks Trading Post - 17900 Trading Post Road, Morrison, CO 80465. If you don’t see an adobe building with Trading Post written on the sign, you’re in the wrong spot. Free parking is available at this address. -there is a bit of construction going on right now as it is off season. You can still access the parking lot.
Pack plenty of water and any personal medications. The altitude can get the best of all of us if we aren’t hydrated!
Cannabis use is not allowed. For safety reasons, if you show up high, you will not be allowed to participate in the hike. Enjoy when the hike is done!
