City Park Walk & Talk & Brunch
Want to start the day right with fresh air, birdsong, and a nice walk with new friends? We’ve got the perfect setting: the iconic Lake Ferril at Denver’s City Park!
We’ll meet in front of the fountains just west of the Denver Museum of Nature and Science and make our way around the lake, soaking up the great views of the city skyline. Whether you’re a newbie or a native to Denver, you’ll appreciate the features and history of this lake created in the late 1800’s and named after Colorado's Poet Laureate, Thomas Hornsby Ferril. The mile-or-so walk is the right mix of inner-city oasis, colorful history, and bustling urban wildlife.
Once we complete the loop, we’ll mosey on over to the City Park Tavern for a cup of coffee and some light breakfast. If you haven’t seen the mountain views from this golf course tavern, you’re in for a special treat!

Good to Know
Parking should be easy to find in the lots along 23rd Avenue between the Denver Zoo and the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. It’s a short walk to the fountains, known as the H2Odyssey Splash Pad, just west of the DMNS.
